The Cosmo peel is a higher strength chemical peel offered at Skin Scan WA. The TCA solution is fantastic for treating ageing, sun damaged skin as well pigmentation and overall skin texture.

Chemical peels are excellent for resurfacing the skin while also increasing the moisture levels.

 

The Cosmo Peel is a TCA peel and is available in different strengths which will be selected by your practitioner.

These peels loosen thickened surface layers that appear as dry, rough and pigmented skin whilst stimulating the production of collagen in the deeper layers.

 

As the uppermost layers are sloughed away, a smoother textured and healthier skin with less pigmentation is revealed.

The collagen and elastin stimulating affect will gradually help to plump and tighten your skin to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

SKIN PREPARATION

We recommend beginning skin preparation prior to undergoing a course of chemical peels.

Skin preparation can be prescribed to you from our cosmeceutical skin care range from our cosmetic nurse and doctor at the time of consultation.

Well prepared skin increased the speed of skin healing, encourages uniform and even penetration of the peel and decreases the risk of unwanted side effects.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Every new client of Skin Scan will require a full cosmetic consultation. This consultation will include clinical photography, skin assessment and facial assessment based on your concerns and expectations. Your practitioner will then tailor a treatment plan that is specific to you.

We recommend avoiding unprotected sun exposure for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to treatment and continue to avoid throughout the course of your treatments.
 

On the day of your treatment your face will be cleansed, the peeling solution applied in layers with gauze and then left on the skin for up to 12 hours, before being removed with water at home.

​

They are generally not painful, with many people feeling a prickling or stinging sensation for the first few minutes of application. A fan may be used to cool your face. Your skin may look red and flushed immediately following treatment.
